BH PPGs: Findings from the Change NHS Workshops and Invitation to join the next phase of improving services

Posted by MarkR on 7th March 2025

Good afternoon

Thank you to those who joined one of our face-to-face and online workshops around the NHS Change 10 Year Plan which were held over January and early February. I am pleased to share the findings with you which were submitted to NHS England and are now being reviewed and taken forward locally in Sussex.

We are keen to continue to continue the conversation as we think about how we improve access to services for local people. As part of that, we want to consider how we can support people to safely stay out of hospital when it is appropriate and how to support people when leaving hospital who may need support from community services to recover well.

We will be holding online and face to face workshops in the coming weeks and we are looking for local people to share their views on what services and support should look like.

Online Workshop via Teams:
Date: Tuesday 18 March
Time: 10:00 – 11:45 for Urgent and Emergency Care and 13:00 – 14:45 for community support services after leaving hospital
You are welcome to attend either or both workshops. To sign up please click here.

Face to face workshop:
Date: Friday 21 March
Venue: Brighthelm, North Road, Brighton, BN1 1YD
Time: 10:00 – 11:45 for Urgent and Emergency Care and 12:15 – 14:00 for community support services after leaving hospital
A light lunch will be provided for those who are staying for both sessions. Expenses for travel and parking can also be re-imbursed. To sign up please click here.

All of the findings will be fed into design workshops taking place in the following weeks, where a range of clinicians, partners and stakeholders will be reviewing the current services and considering where improvements could be made to make services more effective and improve the experience and health of patients accessing the services.
